Questions to be Answered:
The WHY?
Reason # l: U.S. Public Schools are not producing the quality education for young humans (who eventually become perspective employees) as needed & demanded by large American employers - such as Wal*Mart. This includes both the academic superiority required and the attitude necessary for success as a permanent employee and possible future manager for American businesses. Thus, U.S. employers are now forced to seek more and more employees overseas, either through outsourcing, recruitment or hiring of undocumented employees. Soon, the large employer discovers (much to his delight and America's sorrow) that this simple recruitment maneuver has reduced his employee's salaries and increased production with a minimum of cost. However, this is not without patriotic regret! If America could and would only produce the type of employees needed - every American employer would be delighted to use them. If you doubt this, just ask any of them!.
Solution "A." The "Harrison System" does produce exactly the type of employee attitude and academic education required by any business. Truly, the "System" programs the child to "Learn to Earn!" He or she becomes self accountable and self-responsible. Such a person knows mistakes are his or hers alone - so advice is sought before the mistake is made and little management is required. While in school, academic success soars. And later, as an employee, production in the business world steadily increases, much to the employer's delight. However, the trouble comes when public schools control education and refuse to use self accountability methods instead of management concepts. Therefore, business logic seems to demand that BIG employers should start their own private (K-8) schools - immediately - using the "Harrison System."
Solution "B." Public schools do an obviously sorry job of producing creative and "know-how" leaders for the "Management World." The tools to do so are missing. On the other hand the "System" does a fantastic job. For example: Whenever and wherever "Student Teacherships " are earned and utilized in each "System" classroom, such talented students learn "Leadership on the Job." Five students must be selected, by each Student Teacher, who will become, hopefully for the Student teacher, attentive and avid pupils who "Learn to Earn" BIG "Scholar Dollars" or "Points.". If they don't, the Student Teacher won't earn much by way of his or her 10% Bonus for the extra instruction time applied. Thus leadership qualities are necessary and utilized to the maximum in a "System" classroom.
Reason # 2. Public Schools are producing humans who require more & more extensive management throughout society - raising costs & reducing productivity, everywhere - to say nothing about the huge workload and stress involved. This is normal and natural when society's education is almost totally based upon the principles of management. Face facts! The more you manage - the more you must! In our search for perfection, the need requires forever more managers. Thus, the educational empire builds - much to the delight of the managers involved, and society everywhere becomes management oriented. Soon, too much of everyday life is based upon some type of management - with the managers determined to maintain the status quo and to protect their jobs. As the situation grows, it seems logical to believe that any beneficial change would be difficult if not impossible to achieve - especially by way of public school improvement. So, the only practical solution, to quickly reverse this trend, seems to be by establishing private K-8 ("Harrison System") schools for the children of employees in BIG businesses.
Solution "A." The "Harrison System" is based upon exactly the opposite premise from management. It produces the opposite results. "The less you manage the less you must - as classroom achievement rises and attitudes improve - tremendously!" So logic again tells us that all classroom teachers should and would be delighted with the elimination of most stress and work. Especially when the change from management methods to self-management techniques require only a change in attitudes - management to self accountability! Nevertheless, the trouble comes, in public and private education, from the firmly-in-control managers who refuse to allow any preventable change that MIGHT cost them their jobs. Thus, we again arrive at the only workable solution - big businesses, with lots of employees who have children, MUST start their own Harrison System private schools to easily and almost costlessly create self accountable SUPERKIDS and perfect future employees and customers.
Solution "B." Big businesses, with lots of employees, should also desire a future and continuing source of very desirable employees. Private K-8 schools, using the Harrison System, would provide this. Moreover, such schools might give that business a limited amount of control over what is being taught for future use in that particular business.
Solution "C." Wal*Mart and other big businesses are (or may be) having "Union Troubles." Since the "System" is solidly based upon "Individualism" rather than "Collectivism," such troubles should soon disappear. Use of the System at school and home would indoctrinate both the child and the employee in this concept. Moreover, an attitude of "Individualism" should improve society everywhere, wherever it's employed - eventually helping all businesses.
Solution "D." One of the largest difficulties suffered by businesses is the age old problem of employees who "Job Jump." This problem also should quickly disappear as the "System" begins to take hold in that business's private K-8 schools - first with the children of the employees and then finally with the employees. Almost immediately the children will become permanently captured by enthusiasm for "System" methods. Never before will they have enjoyed the privilege of being able to "Learn to Earn." The children's attitudes and success will drastically improve. Soon the parents will observe this. Afterward, no one will even think about transferring to another school anywhere that doesn't have the "System" - both at school and in the home. So, every such employee will become satisfaction captured at that particular place of employment. Turnovers will become almost insignificant.
Solution "E." Any K-8 private school near the employee's workplace is another powerful tool which creates stability and productivity for the employee. With a nearby school, most problems at school are more easily and quickly solved. Whenever the employer has some say over what the school does, school problems seem to magically disappear - and the employee contentedly knows this. Thus, productivity increases.
Reason # 3. The owners and employers in Big Businesses, who have many employees, are wealthy and need to think about the best way to eventually dispose of their wealth. What better way than to force public schools, education in general, and society everywhere to improve? The person who could accomplish this would go down in history as one of the most famous benefactors of mankind! How could one's money be used more beneficially? What could be a better legacy than this? Moreover, suppose it could all be accomplished with very little eventual outlay of cash? And, believe it or not, it can, as set forth in the part of this website describing How below.
Solution "A." Any private K-8 school which could drastically cut the cost of education for the World to see, would and should gain Worldwide publicity. For example the State of California spends about half of its annual budget on education. Think what this could mean if the State had this sum of money available for other purposes or to reduces taxes? "Harrison System" methods drastically cut education's costs. HOW is explained later.
Solution "B." One experimental K-8 private school, on that business's property, could be singled out to try innovative experiments. Successful innovations would then be quickly and inexpensively passed on to the other schools. The usual "hang-up time," now utilized by the special interests and managers involved in public schools, would disappear. "Harrison System" teachers, who are independent contractors in control of their individual classroom, could and would implement the good and refuse the bad in a minimum of time.
Solution "C." Eventually it may be possible to convert the private K-8 schools, operated for the business, into "Public Charter Schools." This would allow complete fiscal relief for the business and permit smaller amounts of taxpayer money to educate a larger number of children -MUCH BETTER. Thus, it'll force improvement in other public schools as well. If this could be done without regressing to public school management and control methods, the benefit for society would be enormous.
Solution "D." A good reason for starting a K-8 private school for the children of business employees lies with the fact that initially just one school can be established. This means there would be no initially large outlay of cash. Mistakes could be easily and inexpensively remedied. And, improvements might be made for little cost. When the business owner is finally satisfied, more and more such schools could then be established.
Reason # 4. Perhaps the most potent reason why Wal*Mart (or any other large employer) might want to start perfect K-8 schools for their employees' children lies with the fact that some such business owners have already expressed a definite desire to drastically improve education. However, none seem to understand exactly how to go about it. The"Harrison System" simplifies everything! Two examples of such a desire follow:
Example "A." The following is a quote from an article Titled "Inside America's Richest Family - The Waltons," written by Andy Serwer, in the November 15, 2004, issue of Fortune Magazine! The author was talking with John Walton about what might be the Waltons' greatest legacy. This is what John said:
"Our family has come to the conclusion that there is no other single area of activity that would have the breadth of impact that improving K-through-12 education in America would have. It would have a positive impact on every single societal challenge that we face, from crime to productivity to economic health and growth, to true equality."
Example "B." Many other quotes could be furnished. However, this seems unnecessary as the newspapers and magazines of today are filled with the names of BIG Businessman everywhere proclaiming the need for American education's improvement! For example, Bill Gates has loudly stated the need for better educated High School students. Yet, exactly how to achieve this is missing from his proclamation. Even the Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has an unworkable solution when the educational establishment continues to utilized "management methods." Only when self accountability techniques are employed will success come - easily and inexpensively. And, even then, success is initially possible ONLY by way of private schools established by large employers (see all of the proof you could possibly demand at http://behaviormodsuperkids.com/AmericasChoice.html ). Use your mouse to discover exactly how the Harrison System can easily and inexpensively accomplished this at: www.behaviormodsuperkids.com. Then tell others to do so.
The HOW - Easily & Inexpensively!
Rather than repeat detailed information contained on Harrison's other websites, only general suggestions are offered below:
1st Suggestion: Every teacher hired, for the business's K-8 private school, must be trained to think and work as a self-management and self accountability instructor. This can be done by either Allan Harrison or The Self Accountable Children's Society. Click on http://www.behaviormodsuperkids.com/ for a detailed description of how easily & inexpensively this will be accomplished - at school or in the home.
2nd Suggestion: Each teacher hired must agree to be paid, and to operate, as an independent contractor - with his or her income based upon a certain percentage of tuition collected for each pupil enrolled (say 50 to 60%). In addition, the teacher will agree to receive as a bonus a certain percentage of tuition (say 2% to 5%, paid by each parent as an extra payment) for each month (up to 10 months) that the academic achievement average increases for the whole class as determined by proper testing at the start & end of the school year. (See http://www.behaviormodsuperkids.com/PvtSch.html and http://www.behaviormodsuperkids.com/Schools.html for a detailed discussion & explanation). Also, if the achievement average doesn't rise to what is normal for that classroom (1 year in a school year for example), the instructor has that percentage deducted from his normal income. This assures that the teacher won't overload his or her classroom and lose the expected bonus payment. Thus, academic productivity is fair, assured, and obvious to anyone.
3rd Suggestion: A drastic attitude improvement of each pupil will be observed within 3 months of enrollment. This in turn will delight the child's parents and assure that no transfers will take place to any other school or place of employment. Click on this: http://www.behaviormodsuperkids.com/Attitudes.html to discover details of all of the tremendously improved attitudes involved and how they can easily come about.
4th Suggestion: The huge ongoing cost of education comes primarily from the salaries of teachers, administrators and the huge "Educational Empire" required to support management methods. "System Methods" either drastically reduce or eliminate the need for most of these things. Believe it or not, one elementary school instructor, Joseph Lancaster, in the early 1800's, could and did teach 1000 pupils all by himself and taught others to do the same. Using methods similar to the "System," he started over 100 schools doing the same. Moreover, the parents of Lancaster's pupils were delighted to pay him for their children's enrollment. Just think of the money government could save and just imagine the salary such an instructor could command, if this occurred today. When the "System" instructor can utilize talented pupils to help him or her reinforce classroom instruction, many more pupils can be educated with just one teacher. Moreover, no administrative & educational "Empire" is necessary to support the teacher who is an independent contractor.
5th Suggestion: There are many other ways to cut expenses when "System" methods are utilized. For example: inexpensive modular classrooms save big construction cost. Face facts: buildings don't improve education - proper instructional methods along with self-motivated and self-disciplined students do. And, the same is true for costs of bussing, janitorial, and educational supplies. See the above websites for conformation.
6th Suggestion: The Cost of establishing and operating the Business's K-8 Private School should be held to a minimum. First, advertise for ten retired elementary school educators who would enjoy owning their own private school classroom - with an already determined number of pupils in each grade level previously enrolled (based upon a previous survey of the business's employees). Next, select one of the ten teachers to become the school's "Owner & Facilitator." With the Business Owner financing everything (on a loan to be repaid basis from profits), economical purchases can be made as necessary (see the above PvtSch and Schools websites). Thus, the "Business Owner" (for practical purposes) is not in the business of owning or operating any private school on a daily basis. Moreover, with Allan Harrison or the SACS Foundation supervising each step involved, mistakes will be non-existent.
7th Suggestion: The "Big Business Owner" should also pay the tuition for all employees for the first three months. After this, once each employee and his or her children become "satisfaction captured," the Business Owner should require that the employee pay half of the tuition. Then the tuition paid by the employee could be based upon how well the pupil does at school. In other words, the tuition might be gradually reduced (up to a certain point) for the parent, depending upon how well the student performs at the school - personally & academically. Thus, the teacher's job becomes easier and easier (resulting in classroom enlargement), as the pupils become more & more successful - creating educational productivity at its best (see the above websites).
8th Suggestion: Anyone not believing that the "System" has a near perfect success rate, with all of the SOLUTIONS & SUGGESTIONS indicated above, can click on http://www.behaviormodsuperkids.com/Kids.html or http://www.behaviormodsuperkids.com/SACS.html . These websites contain many personal endorsements of "System" methods as well as information on the Self Accountable Children's Society.
